The Windrider, like the Southwest and Junction, represents our vision of a versatile, adaptable, and capable tool for nearly any adventure. Introduced in 2009 as our first pack, countless backpackers since have seen and done it all with theirs. The Windrider’s main pack body is built with a new, fully woven Dyneema® 200-denier fabric that offers more durability than ever before with the same signature lightweight and 100% waterproof qualities that have made Dyneema our primary material choice from the beginning. With three mesh exterior pockets that offer visibility of whatever’s inside and a way to dry wet gear while on the move, the Windrider is a comfortable pack that delivers premium performance wherever you’re headed.

  • The new Dyneema® Woven Composite 3.9 combines the light weight of Dyneema® Composite Hybrid 3.8 with durability and abrasion resistance that surpasses even the heavier Dyneema® Composite Hybrid 5.9.
  • Redesigned shoulder straps and a sewn-through back panel provide a more comfortable and secure fit, with better weight distribution and less wear over time.
  • Redesigned outside pockets with more depth, lower back edges for easier access to water bottles, and improved security for gear (like the ice axe) make packing and accessing items more convenient.
